Jake Goldman is a web developer and strategist with over a decade of experience. Today, as Director of Client Services at C. Murray Consulting, he is focused on complete Content Management System integration and end user experiences. Jake has overseen more than two dozen highly customized WordPress implementations since mid 2008, two of which are featured on the official showcase. His “WordPress Power Tips” articles for Smashing Magazine consistently make the front page of Delicious. Between supporting clients, Jake has found the time to develop and contribute 9 highly rated WordPress plug-ins to the community. -

Jane Wells
Jane is the user experience lead for WordPress, and has worked in the web industry for 10 years. Though she’s currently based in Middle Georgia, she spends much of her time traveling to WordCamps and meeting WordPress users to incorporate their feedback into each new version. -

Tammy Hart
Tammy Hart is a successful, self-taught, freelance designer who has leveraged trial, error, and observation to become a WordPress expert. She loves to talk about deep customization of WordPress content and templates. While specializing in WordPress themes and CMS development, she also does all levels of Web Design and XHTML/CSS Coding. Syed Balkhi is a WordPress designer / developer and the founder of a WordPress resource site known as WPBeginner. Syed has 7 years of experience working in the web industry and has been working with WordPress for over 3 years. Syed has worked with businesses and individuals on all different levels. He is mostly known for his agressive marketing skills, creative designs, and expertise in SEO. -

Mark Jaquith
Mark has been working with and contributing to WordPress since 2004. He is one of the lead developers of the WordPress core and offers freelance WordPress consulting services through Covered Web Services with a focus on scaling, security, and custom functionality. Mark likes patches that have more red than green, and his favorite WordPress features are the ones that you’re not even aware of. He eagerly looks forward to shooting down your complicated feature suggestions with, “No, but it would make a great plugin!” -

Scott Kingsley Clark
Web Developing since the age of 15, **Scott Kingsley Clark** has worked on hundreds of website projects. Scott specializes in WordPress and Pods CMS Framework development using PHP, MySQL, and AJAX/Javascript. He currently offers Development / Consulting for WordPress projects across the world. Outside of work, Scott focuses on spending as much time as possible with his fiancee, Cassidy, and his music project titled Soft Charisma. -

Jim Turner
Jim began blogging in early 2004 and soon became very passionate about blogging. His passion grew to the point where he wondered how he could take this passion and turn it into a business or a way to make a living to support his family, or at least supplement his income. John James Jacoby
John is a web slinger originally from Milwaukee, WI but currently living in Miami, FL. When he isn’t playing Spiderman, he can be found contributing to BuddyPress core, moderating the BuddyPress forums, or singing the praises of BuddyPress from the mountain tops. He likes puppies, dislikes bright lights, and his Ninja Turtle name is “Johnatello.” -

Rick Tuttle
Rick Tuttle is a web developer and wifi nomad from Miami Beach who left "Dilbertland" in 2005 to start Papasoft as a freelancer specializing in content management. After using myriad PHP CMS platforms, Rick found a little blog engine called "b2" which later became WordPress, now the CMS tool of choice for his projects. Rick is an expert in using Wordpress as a CMS. Rick, his wife and two blogging daughters, ages 9 and 11, also run http://www.miamifunguide.com, which is powered by WordPress. -

Michael Froomkin
A. Michael Froomkin is a Professor at the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida, specializing in Internet Law and Administrative Law. He is a founder-editor of ICANNWatch, and serves on the Editorial Board of Information, Communication & Society and of I/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society. He is on the Advisory Boards of several organizations including the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Prof. Froomkin is a member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London. He is also active in several technology related projects in the greater Miami area. -

Aaron Brazell
Aaron is a WordPress developer and consultant and the author of the upcoming WordPress Bible from Wiley publishing. Aaron has been developing in WordPress for more than 4 years and has spoken at numerous events including WordCamps. He is a lead organizer of WordCamp Mid-Atlantic and an advocate for resource sharing among communities. He resides outside of Washington, D.C. He is often controversial but rarely wrong. -

Roger Theriault
Roger is a software developer, with broad experience and 25 years of experience developing and supporting client-server, web, and wireless applications. Roger also has an Executive MBA from the University of Miami. He helped set up and organize Motorola's first public website, and introduced and created web content management in the early web days. Roger currently freelances for True/Slant, where he has developed many frontend and backend enhancements to WordPress MU for aggregation, curation, and social capabilities. -

Brian Breslin
Brian is an internet entrepreneur, technology enthusiast, web strategist, community evangelist, and all-around geek. As founder of Infinimedia, inc. a multinational web software development and consulting firm, Brian has been worked with a multitude of companies ranging from Fortune 100 to Fortune 10000 firms helping them with their online strategy. While at Infinimedia, Brian launched StartPR, an online brand monitoring & management tool, and Twitbin, one of the earliest Twitter clients. -

John Carcutt
John Carcutt is an SEO old timer and currently the SEO manager for the Inc. 500 company MediaWhiz Inc. He takes his spare time to organize and run both the SEO and the Wordpress Meetup Groups for the South Florida area as well as Co-Hosting the popular SEO 101 Podcast on WebmasterRadio.fm. John is also a regular speaker at national search marketing conferences such as Search Engine Strategies, Pubcon and Affiliate Summit. John will be talking about SEO and Wordpress at this year's WordCamp Miami. -

Stephanie Rosenblatt
Stephanie is home-grown South Florida web developer who has worked in the industry for seven years. She spent the last three years at the Miami Herald before recently transitioning to University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine to work on the complete reconstruction of their websites. When her friends can't find her, they'd put money on the bet that she's hiding away at night, excitedly working on her latest Wordpress contract. She bounces back and forth between client- and server-side customization using PHP, MySQL, Flash and AJAX/Javacript. But if she's not coding, she's probably talking about music, dancing to music or shooting photgraphy at a concert. -

Shayne Sanderson
Shayne has been working in the web industry for over 10 years, and with WordPress for the last 4 years. He is a partner at 9seeds , which offers WordPress, plugin and custom PHP development. 9seeds also works closely with Instinct Entertainment, makers of the WordPress shopping cart plugin WP ECommerce. You may also know him from S-Tastic Designs where he offered WordPress support and troubleshooting before co-founding 9seeds. He is very active in the WordPress forums and well as the WP Ecommerce forums where he offers support for users of WP ECommerce. He loves helping people and is an avid WordPress user/developer! -

Pete Bernardo
Miami native Pete Bernardo has been developing web sites for more than 10 years. Having spent several years in agency life, working on projects for clients ranging from Microsoft to Ben & Jerry's. After venturing out on his own in 2008 to start Logic by Design, he has never looked back. Guided by the motto "Find a Way To Do It in WordPress," Pete has made WordPress the central platform for Logic By Design, making it one of the driving factors to the success of the company. Pete will be talking about the plugins and techniques they use that allows them to keep all of their clients on the same platform, Wordpress. -

Angie Moncada
Angie Henderson Moncada, managing director, strategy/pr, leads the Miami office of (add)ventures, where she works with clients to develop and implement multidisciplinary solutions for their business challenges and drives (add)ventures’ new business strategy. A corporate communications professional with more than a decade of experience, Angie blends traditional and online strategies and utilizes the latest tools and tactics to meet campaign goals. She is also a faculty member at Miami International University of Art & Design and a writer whose work has appeared in Hispanic Magazine, PR News, and the Miami Herald. -

Jim Gilbert
Jim Gilbert manages a number of Wordpress blogs (content, marketing, etc) and will be presenting powerful case studies for engaging and driving traffic (and creating sales). Jim is a top notch presenter. In the last year he has lectured (on social media) for The Florida Direct Marketing Association, and Florida International University. Jim is a former adjunct professor of direct marketing for Miami International University.
